The Organization Computer System Administration course is designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills necessary for effectively managing computer systems within an organizational setting. Under the guidance of Dr. Kanbiro Orkaido, students will explore various critical aspects of system administration.
The course covers fundamental topics such as system installation and configuration, where students will learn the steps involved in setting up new operating systems on servers, including hardware compatibility checks, partitioning, and configuring network settings. User management is another key area of focus, emphasizing the importance of access control and the creation of user accounts to ensure system security and prevent unauthorized access.
Security measures are a significant component of the curriculum, highlighting the role of system administrators in implementing protocols to maintain high availability and reliability of system resources. Students will also learn about troubleshooting strategies, which involve diagnosing and resolving network connectivity issues using various tools and techniques.
Additionally, the course addresses backup and recovery procedures, teaching students the importance of conducting regular system backups to ensure data availability in case of loss or system failure.
